The Rita Taylor Memorial Cup
Presented to Cullercoats FC 1993
The Rita Taylor Cup was presented to Cullercoats F.C. in 1993 by her husband, Mr J.W. Taylor, in memory of his beloved wife Rita.
The Taylor’s were Cullercoats people and lived in the Village for many years. After his wife’s death Mr Taylor became a recluse, but wanted something to stay in Cullercoats in memory of his wife.
Mr Taylor passed away a few years ago but the cup still lives on and is a most worthy trophy to win.
The Cup is presented to the person who has done the most to promote and enhance the club over the season. It can be awarded to anyone from within the club, regardless of whether they are a player of not.
